Filipino Riders Ronald Galzote and Carlsen Solis Competes Honda Thailand Talent Cup Round 1 at Sepang

Sepang International Circuit, Malaysia – May 2-3 2026: The 2026 season of the Honda Thailand Talent Cup Round 1 officially kicked off at the iconic Sepang International Circuit, where young talents from across Asia gathered to showcase their skills and begin their campaign for the season.
Representing the Philippines, Ronald Galzote (14 yrs. old) and Carlsen Solis (16 yrs. old) proudly took on the challenge as they competed against some of the region’s most promising young riders in one of Asia’s premier rider development programs.

Throughout the race weekend, both riders demonstrated determination, discipline, and steady progress as they adapted to the demanding layout of the Sepang International Circuit. From practice sessions to the race proper, Galzote and Solis gained valuable track experience while continuing to develop their race pace, consistency, and overall riding performance.
Ronald Galzote showed composure and focus, for his first time participating the international competition, working closely with the team to improve lap times and gain confidence on the international stage. Meanwhile, Carlsen Solis displayed fighting spirit and perseverance as he pushed through every session to maximize learning opportunities and further strengthen his race craft.
Competing in the Honda Thailand Talent Cup serves as one of the important milestones for the development of young Filipino riders, providing them with international exposure and the opportunity to compete against top emerging talents from across Asia. The experience gained from Round 1 will play a significant role in preparing both riders for the challenges ahead as the season progresses.
