Empowering Every Journey Through
Honda Safety Driving Center

As the foundation of our vision for a collision-free future, HSDC delivers rigorous training that redefines road discipline. We take an active role in shaping safer commuter habits, building a sustainable community where road safety is recognized as an essential life skill for every rider.

Pioneering a Safer Road Culture at HSDC

HSDC operates the first world-class facility in the Philippines dedicated to mastering both automobile and motorcycle safety. By instilling road discipline and superior skills, we fulfill our mission to create a safer, collision-free environment for every Filipino.

Philippine Road Safety Condition

Traffic accidents in the Philippines continue to rise by 20% each year, posing a serious concern for a country where most passenger and freight movement depends on land transportation. Studies reveal that 90% of these accidents stem from human error, mainly due to poor safety attitudes and insufficient driving skills—problems that can be addressed through proper education. Driven by its commitment to “delivering safety in every vehicle,” Honda Philippines established the Honda Safety Driving Center (HSDC) to promote safer roads. The center aims to help society by educating and shaping a new generation of responsible road users through comprehensive and progressive road safety programs available to everyone.

Comprehensive Training Facilities

Honda Safety Driving Center offers ten fully equipped training rooms of varying capacities, along with a developing library intended to serve as a major resource hub for road safety knowledge. These facilities support a structured learning environment that helps participants understand safety concepts more effectively. Integrated into its 2.4-hectare property is a world-class training circuit that mirrors real traffic patterns and road conditions. This setup allows learners to gain confidence and firsthand experience in proper road interaction.

Advanced Driving and Riding Courses

The center provides motorcycle courses such as slalom, S-course, figure-8, narrow plank, and bumpy path to build core skills in balance, throttle control, braking, and maneuvering. These exercises are conducted in varying setups and difficulty levels to prepare riders for real-world traffic challenges. Automobile courses include s-course, crank, slopes, 3-point turns, and parking, all designed to enhance precise and analytical driving skills. The facility also features wet braking and dirt tracks—first in Asia outside Japan to teach drivers how to safely manage vehicles in slippery or debris-filled road conditions.

Instructors

Honda Safety Driving Center upholds the high level of competence and professionalism expected of a Honda instructor anywhere around the world. HSDC instructors have undergone a one-month extensive skill-up training and attitude building under the supervision of super instructors from Rainbow Motor School (Japan) and Bukit Batok Driving Center of Singapore. The Center’s chief instructors also attended a 2-month trainors’ training course in Bukit Batok Driving Center, here competencies in instructor and module development were enhanced.

For 5 years now, HSDC has been sending instructors to the Safety-Japan Instructors Competition in Suzuka, Japan. This is an annual event organized by the Driving Safety Promotion Center of Honda Motor where Honda instructors all over the world compete, share experiences and gain insights about new training technologies.

Training Vehicles

Honda Safety Driving Center’s training vehicles (70 units of motorcycles & 8 units of automobiles) are well-maintained. The Center has its own workshop for preventive maintenance activities and general repairs of motorcycles and automobiles. With the highest level of safety in mind, these training vehicles are specially-modified for training purposes. Automobiles are equipped with auxiliary brakes and auto shut-off features as countermeasures during moments of panic. Motorcycles, on the other hand, are installed with crash guards to prevent injuries in the event of a slippage or fall.

Company Slogan

“Building a Community of Safe Road Users” is HSDC’s slogan. HSDC offers progressive education for all road users – children and adults – as part of effort to help in the accident prevention and traffic improvement campaign.
