Honda Plants for a Greener Tomorrow

Siniloan, Laguna Philippines — On Friday, June 27, 2025, Honda Foundation, Inc. continued its 5-year commitment to a greener, more sustainable environment and support local livelihoods through a reforestation activity in Barangay Magsaysay.

Last year, Honda partnered with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Region IV-A and the Magsaysay Coconut Farmers Association (MACOFA), adopting 28 hectares of the Sierra Madre Mountains under DENR’s National Greening Program. The team successfully reforested the site by planting 14,000 fruit-bearing trees, achieving an 88.5% survival rate.

This year, Honda aimed to sustain an even higher survival rate for the seedlings. Celebrating Arbor Day, the team planted 2,000 more seedlings of the same tree variety. Over fifty (50) volunteers, including Honda Associates, DENR representatives, and MACOFA members, collaborated to promote environmental preservation and community well-being for future generations.
