Honda joins TESDA’s Celebration of Excellence & Launch MSES Class

Taguig City, Philippines — On Tuesday, July 1, 2025, Honda Foundation, Inc. (HFI) participated in the 5th Anniversary Kick-off celebration of Technical Education and Skills Dev’t Authority (TESDA) Regional Training Center (RTC) NCR Taguig. The event also marked the opening of the Motorcycle/ Small Engine Servicing NCII (MSES) Class at the TESDA – HONDA ROOM learning laboratory. Attendees from TESDA included NCR Regional Director, Engr. Jovencio Ferrer Jr.; District Director MuntiParLasTaPat, Dir. Marie Grace Dela Rama; and RTC-NCR Center Administrator, Mr. Eugene Agcaoili.

Almost a year ago, on July 29, 2024, HONDA partnered with TESDA RTC NCR Taguig to establish the Honda Room, dedicated to Honda motorcycle and automotive learning laboratories. This initiative aims to improve the financial status of marginalized youth and their families, and to contribute to the manpower supply in Honda dealerships.

Today, Honda and TESDA are thrilled to officially open the MSES course for 25 pioneer learners. They will receive quality education based on Honda's standards for quality and safety-driven service techniques. After completing 650 hours of training, these learners will undergo an assessment to qualify for an NCII certificate, making them eligible for job placement at Honda dealerships.
