DSWD Awards Honda Foundation, Inc. as Outstanding Social Welfare Partner

Cebu City, Philippines – On September 26, 2025, the Honda Foundation, Inc. (HFI) was recognized by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) as an Outstanding Auxiliary Social Welfare and Development Agency (SWDA) for its meaningful contributions to community development and social welfare.  Mr. Tomoyuki Mabuchi, HFI Vice President and Board Trustee, and Ms. Crecelle San Jose, HFI Executive Director, received the award on behalf of the organization.

The DSWD’s Search for the Most Outstanding SWDAs is part of its effort to recognize organizations that deliver high-quality social welfare services, uphold national standards and encourage other organizations to strive for excellence in governance, sustainability, and impact.

With over 200 SWDAs in Region IV-A alone, only 17 were nominated nationwide. From these, DSWD selected 10 outstanding agencies—including the Honda Foundation.

Members of HFI are Honda Philippines, Inc. (HPI), Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI), Honda Parts Manufacturing, Corp. (HPMC), and Honda Trading Philippines Ecozone, Corp. (HTPE). To learn more about HFI, contact (02)-8581-6700 to 6799 and 0917-578-8723.
