Jerez, Spain | July 5, 2026 – Honda Asia Dream Racing rider Alfonsi Daquigan continued his impressive learning curve in the Moto4 European Cup as Round 3 of the FIM MotoJunior World Championship unfolded at the legendary Circuito de Jerez–Ángel Nieto. Racing under warm and dry conditions throughout the weekend, the young Filipino once again demonstrated his growing confidence and competitiveness against Europe's finest young talents.

Daquigan showed encouraging pace from the outset, consistently placing among the frontrunners during the practice sessions. He opened the weekend with a ninth-place finish in Free Practice 1, setting his best lap of 1:50.475, before improving to seventh in Free Practice 2 with a 1:50.481. His progress continued in qualifying, where he clocked an impressive 1:49.953 to finish sixth in Q2. Under the Moto4 qualifying format, the result placed him 12th on the starting grid for the opening race.

Starting from the fourth row, Daquigan immediately found himself in the heart of a tightly contested midfield battle in Race 1. The 14-lap encounter featured intense wheel-to-wheel action, with every position hard fought until the chequered flag. Despite maintaining a competitive pace and recording his fastest race lap of the weekend at 1:49.399, the Honda Asia Dream Racing rider crossed the finish line in 17th place, narrowly missing out on a stronger result after an action-packed race.

Undeterred by the setback, Daquigan returned with renewed determination in Race 2. Displaying improved race management, confidence under braking, and consistency throughout the shortened nine-lap contest, he steadily worked his way through the field. Posting his best lap of 1:49.746, the Filipino youngster secured an impressive eighth-place finish, rewarding the team's efforts with another top-10 result in one of the most competitive categories on the MotoJunior grid.

The weekend at Jerez reflected Daquigan's continued progression in his debut season on the European stage. His pace throughout practice, strong qualifying performance, and determined comeback in Race 2 highlighted both his resilience and his ability to learn quickly against experienced international competitors.

For Honda Asia Dream Racing, the result marks another encouraging step forward in its mission to develop Asia's next generation of world-class motorcycle racers. Every race weekend provides invaluable experience, and Daquigan continues to show the determination, discipline, and speed needed to compete at the highest level of junior road racing.
