Buriram, Thailand – August 2, 2026 – Honda Philippines proudly celebrates another milestone in the development of Filipino road racing talent as Carlsen Solis claimed a well-earned podium finish during Race 1 of the Idemitsu Honda Thailand Talent Cup Round 3 held at the Chang International Circuit in Buriram, Thailand, on August 1–2, 2026.

Competing against some of Asia's most promising young riders, Solis and fellow Filipino rider Ronald Galzote showcased determination, steady improvement, and valuable race experience throughout the weekend.

Solis displayed competitive pace from the opening practice sessions. He started the weekend by placing 13th in Free Practice 1 his a best lap time of 1:50.523, before improving to 9th in Free Practice 2 with a 1:50.238. He continued his momentum in Free Practice 3 by finishing 8th with his best lap of 1:55.692, earning a strong position heading into qualifying.

In Qualifying, Solis secured 9th on the starting grid after posting his best lap of 1:49.609. His race pace translated into an impressive performance in Race 1, where he battled consistently with the lead group and crossed the finish line in 3rd place, recording his fastest race lap of 1:49.526 to secure another podium finish for the Philippines.

Race 2 proved equally competitive, with Solis continuing to push against a tightly contested field. He finished 9th, while setting an even quicker of his fastest lap of 1:49.446, demonstrating the speed and consistency he developed throughout the weekend.

Meanwhile, Ronald Galzote continued to gain valuable experience in the highly competitive championship. He recorded his best lap of 1:54.462 in Free Practice 1 before improving to 1:53.757 in Free Practice 2. He completed Free Practice 3 with a 1:59.900 lap and qualified 17th with his best time of 1:53.810.

Galzote showed encouraging race pace during both races. In Race 1, he climbed five positions to finish 12th, posting his fastest lap of 1:52.876. He followed it up with another determined ride in Race 2, crossing the line in 13th place with his best lap time of 1:53.347.
The results from Round 3 reflect the continued progress of Honda Philippines' rider development program, as both Solis and Galzote gain invaluable international racing experience through the Idemitsu Honda Thailand Talent Cup. Competing in one of Asia's premier talent development championships provides both riders with the opportunity to sharpen their race craft, improve their consistency, and prepare for higher levels of motorcycle racing.

With another successful round completed, Honda Philippines remains committed to supporting the growth of Filipino racing talent as the season continues, carrying valuable momentum into the remaining rounds of the 2026 Idemitsu Honda Thailand Talent Cup.
