Alfonsi Daquigan of Honda Asia Dream Racing Junior Team Faces Tough Challenge in Round 4 of the Moto4 European Cup in France
Magny- Cours, France | July 25–26, 2026 – The young rider, Alfonsi Daquigan had faced a challenging Round in France this weekend. He competes with his colleagues as the only Filipino rider to the Road to MotoGP development pathway. He is becoming one of the promising riders racing in one of the most competitive junior motorcycle championships.
After several determined attempts during the qualifying session, Alfonsi Daquigan improved from 19th on the starting grid to secure 13th place in Race 1, demonstrating his determination and eagerness to make up positions against the highly competitive field at his best time at 1:49.288 with the speed of 202.2 km/h.
Race 2 - Alfonsi’s perseverance, pressured to make a better result coming from 20th Grid Position, he improves his pace step by step, per lap. He competes from one position to another, riders in his league are more competitive in their last race. Alfonsi shows progress, and ended in 17th Position with his best time at 1:49.830 with his speed at 203.3 km/h.
With the completion of Round 4, the 2026 Moto4 European Cup has now reached the halfway point of the season. Rider #51 Alfonsi Daquigan currently sits 12th in the Overall Rider Standings among 28 competitors, placing him firmly within the Top 12 of one of Europe's most competitive junior motorcycle championships. He will learn from every race and compete against the world's best young talents reflects his growing potential as he proudly represents the Philippines and the Honda Asia Dream Racing Junior Team on the Road to MotoGP.
