22nd Honda One Make Race - XRM Supermoto Challenge in Tuguegarao

Philippines hottest destination gets even hotter when Honda Philippines, Inc., brought to Cagayan Sports Complex, Tuguegarao City,  the 22nd Leg of Honda One Make Race, XRM Supermoto Challenge last May 10, 2008.

More than 100 motorcycle enthusiasts from all over the region and nearby provinces including some famous riders from metro manila, lined – up to participate in the most exciting motorcycle event to hit Tuguegarao City, witnessed by almost 5,000 spectators cheering for their idols.

  

Before the formal opening of the race, Jovie Saulog, Motocross Champ conducted a race clinic providing basic safety tips and racing techniques to all competing racers.

  

Mr. Elmer Oane, Ms. Lulu Montiflor, HPI’s PR Managers,  Mr. Adrelino Villena Jr., Whole Area Sales Manager and Mr. Joey Almeda of Speedgear Sports, Inc. officially opened the race with the balloon releasing ceremony.

For the first round of the race which is the Novice Stock category, Ralph de Mata emerged as the champ. Jerry Beech clinched the title in the 2nd round of the Expert modified category while Ralph de Mata won again the title for the Novice Modified and Jackris Domingo for the Expert Stock.

Special Races like Ladies, Executive and XRM 125 Open were also included in this event where Jovie Saulogs’  daughter Janelle for the Ladies category, Victor Cruz surfaced first place in Executive Race and Noynoy Abraham in the XRM 125 open class.

The goal of Honda One Make Race is to provide a safer venue for motorcycle racers and tap race champs from the grassroots to compete in ASEAN and World Cup competitions. It is also an opportunity to offer Honda Customers an exciting and enjoyable racing experience. PR Department
